anyTV Free is a tool that lets you view TV channels directly from your computer, with the help of an Internet connection. So, you do not have to install additional software or hardware.
In the user-friendly interface, you can view TV, radio and video from several countries from all over the world (select them from the drop-down list), double click a channel, and enjoy.
Unfortunately, this free version of anyTV is limited (you have to purchase the pro license for the fully featured product), so not all channels are available (actually, few channels are), the software does not update the channel list, and the filter option and full screen mode do not work.
But you can add or update a channel (by specifying the category, name, URL, type, country, genre, and optional bitrate, homepage and comment), and create a favorites list.
Furthermore, you can rate channels (from 1 to 5 stars) and flag them (works fine, not working, wrong info, duplicate, spam). In the channel list you can view genre, rating, bitrate and comments.
Some channels load almost instantly, while others take a very long time to do so, or simply refuse to work, and the image and sound quality is pretty good in most cases.
The program uses a moderate amount of CPU and memory resources, and it did not crash or freeze during our tests.
All in all, anyTV Free is a decent tool for watching TV online. Too bad the free version comes with so many boundaries, but you can get the pro license at an acceptable price.
